Another Ozarks city has decided to no longer mandate the use of masks by residents in the fight against COVID-19.
The Forsyth Board of Aldermen voted to end the mandatory masking order after noting that Taney County’s 7-day average has been below ten percent for two months.
The aldermen said during the discussion of the ordinance that the level of illness in the community has reached the point that “it should be up to each individual” as to whether they wear a mask, although the Aldermen recommend their use.
The measure passed with a unanimous vote.
The masking ordinance had been in place since July 20, 2020.
