Greene County Collector Leah Betts is reminding residents that the deadline to pay your personal property taxes without penalty is February 28.
The deadline is two months later than normal years because of problems in the county’s computer systems that delayed the mailing of bills for two months beyond their normal mailing date.
“If you have not received a personal property tax bill for 2020, you need to be proactive and reach out to my office quickly as the due date is February 28th. Late fees will have to be added if paid after February 28th,” Collector Betts said in a statement.
Citizens can pay via the following methods:
- Online at www.countycollector.com
- In person at the Greene County Historic Courthouse located at 940 N. Boonville
- By mail
If you have a question about your bill, or you have not received a bill, contact the Collector’s office at 417-868-4036. (Assessment issues go to the Assessor’s office, 417-868-4101, option 1.)
