A special fundraising event hosted by a young man who has raised over $125,000 for the Ronald McDonald House is taking place Monday night at the McDonald’s in Marshfield.
“McTJ Night” will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Marshfield McDonald’s hosted by TJ Slocum. TJ is a volunteer with the Webster County Health Unit who has not let Downs Syndrome stopping him from making a huge difference in the lives of others.
TJ and his family will be at the McDonald’s to help with the night, where they hope to raise $10,000 for the Share-A-Heart campaign to benefit Ronald McDonald House.
Because of the COVID-19 situation, TJ is “concerned about getting everyone to come out and support the event.” The event includes purchases made through the drive-thru, allowing for a COVID friendly way of supporting TJ’s fundraising event.
