Greene County Health Department Offers COVID-19 “Risk Assessment” for Christmas Events

If you’re planning to attend a Christmas party or other holiday gathering, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department has an online test you can take to assess your risk of contracting COVID-19 at the event.

The test is part of the SGCHD’s “Winter Holidays Celebrate Safety” website. The site gives examples of high, moderate, and low risk activities that could take place between friends and family members for the holiday season.

The site also has information about your risk if you are traveling for the holidays.

“Staying home and celebrating safely is the best way to stay healthy,” SGCHD staff posted on the website. “If you choose to celebrate with others and/or travel please take the time to inform yourself of the risks.”

The site lists as high risk activities normal Christmas traditions such as visiting Santa, singing or caroling, and going to parades or parties.

More information can be found on the Celebrate Safely website.
