Webster County is providing free COVID-19 testing on July 13 at no cost.
A news release states the testing will take place at the Webster County Fairgrounds in Marshfield. Testing will be open on a first-come, first-serve basis from 9 to 11 a.m. for nasal swab testing. Nasal swab or antibody can be obtained until 3 p.m.. Appointments can be arranged by calling 417-859-2400.
Minors can be tested but they will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Unlike other testing services, no doctor’s referral is required, you do not have to be showing symptoms, and you do not have to be a resident of Webster County.
The Webster County Health Unit asks people to bring their health insurance information, but if the insurance does not cover all or part of the costs, there will be no cost to the person seeking the test.
This drive-thru is sponsored through collaborative efforts of CoxHealth, Fordland Clinic, Jordan Valley Health Center, Mercy, OCH Wellpointe, and the Webster County Health Unit.
