by Ed Beach
Fifteen of Drury University’s nineteen sports that compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference earned a GEICO Team Academic All-GLVC award for their work in the classroom in 2019-20. The fifteen teams to win academic honors matches a department record set last year.
The GLVC recognizes each team from member institutions that have maintained a 3.30 grade point average for the academic year.
The highest team GPA among Drury squads was the women’s soccer team. That team posted a 3.75 grade point average while the second-best academic total, and the top mark among the men’s programs, was the Drury men’s cross country team. That squad had a GPA of 3.68.
