New Branson Aldermen Sworn In

Two new members have been sworn in to the Branson Board of Aldermen.

Jeff Seay and Jamie Whiteis were sworn in during the regularly scheduled Tuesday meeting of the Board. Seay soundly defeated Rick Castillon 297-110 for the Ward II seat and Whiteis ran unopposed for the Ward III seat vacated by Brian Clonts.

Incumbent Ward I Alderman Bill Skains retained his seat in a 193-161 vote victory over Marshall Howden.

Acting Board President Bob Simmons along with Mayor Edd Akers recognized the outgoing Aldermen and presented each with a plaque for their service to the city.

“These jobs…if you see any of these committees they serve on…it’s not easy to put in that kind of time and donate it to community service and we really appreciate it,” Alderman Simmons said in a statement.
