Springfield Residents Given One Week to Comment On CARES Act Funding Use

The City of Springfield is giving residents one week to make their voice heard on the potential use for nearly $1 million in federal funding provided through the CARES Act.

The city has provided a draft Fiscal Year 2019 Annual Action Plan Amendment and Disaster/Emergency Declaration Amendment to the Citizens Participation Plan for review and comment through Friday, May 29, at 5 p.m..

City Council will hold a first reading and public hearing at the June 1, 2020 meeting. The Council could vote on the measure at that meeting. The Friday, May 29 deadline also applies to anyone who want to speak to Council about the amendments at the June 1 meeting.
