Webster County Reports Two New COVID-19 Cases; Warns of Possible Springfield Exposures

The Webster County Health Unit announced Saturday that they have confirmed the county’s seventh and eighth cases of COVID-19.

The Health Unit determined that the two cases are related and were community acquired during travel outside of Missouri.

The investigation also determined two possible public exposures in Springfield on April 14.

Unit staff say that exposures took place between 8:30 and 10 a.m. at Sam’s Club on Sunshine and Target on Primrose. Anyone in those locations would have a “very small risk” of exposure but should pay attention for symptoms like a dry cough, shortness of breath, or fever of 100.4 or higher.

If you have those symptoms, contact your primary care provider.

Questions can be referred to the health unit at 417-859-2532.
