Three people were taken into custody Sunday night after a short high speed chance in Springfield.
A spokesman for the Greene County Sheriff’s Office tells OI that deputies tried to stop a vehicle around 10:30 Sunday night because they observed “suspicious activity and traffic violations.”
When the deputy tried to make the stop, the vehicle then fled leading to a chase that ended after the suspect vehicle crashed after the tires were punctured with spike strips.
The vehicle came to a stop south of Republic Road on National. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
The spokesman confirmed that three people were taken into custody in the incident; their names were not released.
