Police Investigating Armed Robbery Near Missouri State

The Springfield Police Department is investigating a robbery reported on the Missouri State campus.

MSU students were informed that around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday morning when two suspects approached two students, beating one, and displaying a weapon before taking the student’s wallet. The incident took place near Elm and Kimbrough, and the victims fled along Elm where they reported the incident to a passing officer.

The suspects fled along Kimbrough.

The assailants were described as:

Suspect 1: white male, in his 20’s, 6’2” tall, thin build, clean-shaven, wearing black clothing, and a black baseball hat.

Suspect 2: white male in his 20’s, 5’8” tall, thin build, wearing a black hoodie, thick eyebrows, brown hair.

The robbery is the second reported within a few days; a second robbery was reported on December 6 near Juanita K. Hammons Hall. No weapon was displayed in the December 6 robbery.
