Nixa City Council voted Wednesday night to appoint Jarad Giddens as their newest member.
Giddens replaces Kendall Dingus, who had himself been appointed in August, who was forced to step down because of his child’s cancer diagnosis.
Giddens was one of the candidates considered when Dingus was appointed to the position. In joining the City Council, Giddens resigned from the Nixa Home Rule Charter Review Commission and the Planning & Zoning Commission.
Two other candidates who sought the position were given opportunities to serve the community. Derris Butler and Randall Bettis were appointed to vacancies on the Nixa Planning & Zoning Commission.
