The Springfield-Greene County Health Department announced another death of a county residents from COVID-19 complications.
SGCHD officials say the death was a man in his 70s. They did not say if he had underlying health conditions or was connected to long-term care.
“Underlying health conditions can impact anyone at any age and include common diagnoses that many Greene County residents live with. For instance: 16% of Greene County residents are 65 or older, 33% are considered obese, and 11% have asthma,” SGCHD officials said in a statement.
The county has had 39 deaths in the month of October, and a total of 116 county residents have died since the beginning of the pandemic.
