Two local charities that provide dental services to low income individuals in need are receiving grants from Delta Dental to continue to provide services.
Children’s Smile Center and Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks were part of 11 charities across the state who received a part of over $660,000 in grant funding.
Children’s Smile Center, which provides dental services to children of low income families in Christian, Stone, Dade, Barry, Lawrence, and Taney Counties, will be receiving $25,000 to continue their work.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks received $15,000 to continue the operation of their mobile dental unit.
This is the second round of grants given by Delta Dental in 2020, with the first round in April giving half a million dollars to organizations providing COVID-19 relief efforts.
