Greene County Tops 5,000 COVID-19 Cases; Christian County Over 1,100

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department announced Tuesday night the county had passed the 5,000 mark in total COVID-19 cases.

SGCHD officials said 129 laboratory confirmed cases were reported on Monday to bring the county’s total cases to 5,005. There are currently 2,067 active cases being tracked by the department.

CoxHealth and Mercy have reported 110 COVID-19 positive patients admitted, with 30 of those patients in Intensive Care. Thirteen of those ICU patients are currently on ventilators. (The total patients are from all counties the hospitals serve, not just Greene County.)

The Christian County Health Department reported 96 new cases since their last update, bringing the total number of laboratory confirmed cases to 1,108. The county is currently monitoring 565 active cases.

The Webster County Health Unit is reporting 60 active cases, and a total of 325 cases.

Taney County Health Department officials report a total of 813 confirmed positives, with 265 cases currently under investigation.

Stone County’s most recent update (September 11) reported 353 total cases, 68 actively being monitored, and 2 deaths.
