Branson officer Darold Donathan is being honored as a finalist for the Missouri LAGERS 2020 Local Government Hero Award.
Donathan is one of three finalists statewide for the award, which will be given at the Missouri LAGERS annual meeting at Lake of the Ozarks in late October.
“I enjoy serving my community to help them feel safe and comfortable in the city they have chosen to live and work. I enjoy establishing relationships and community trust which will have positive lasting results,” Donathan said in a press statement.
The nomination process says that the finalists will embody “the values and dedication it takes to be the best in their fields.” Nominations for the award must be made by a nominee’s coworkers who have to explain why the nominee is a good fit for the award.
“His community commitment, especially with our youth is commendable,” Donathan’s nominating co-worker wrote. “Leaders strive to empower good employees to do good. Officer Donathan does good every day. Our vision is summed up in three words; Service, Integrity and Accountability. Darold embodies this spirit and vision daily.”
