Springfield’s “Have Faith Initiative” Hosts Healthcare Week

Springfield’s “Have Faith Initiative” is holding a “Healthcare Week” calling on local people of faith to pray for healthcare workers on the front lines battling the COVID-19 outbreak.

The group is asking people to “stand in the gap” for doctors, nurses, nursing home workers, home care providers, and others who are caring for COVID-19 patients in the region.

The group is also asking local businesses to put one of five messages on their marquee signs:

  • Pray for Healthcare Workers
  • Thank a Healthcare Hero
  • We Love Our Healthcare Heroes
  • Lift Up Our Healthcare Heroes
  • Celebrate Our Healthcare Heroes

The “Have Faith Initiative” is a group of Springfield and Greene County faith leaders who began meeting virtually during the COVID-19 lockdown to determine how they could best work together to meet the needs of the community during the crisis.
