The Missouri Route 76 bridge over Table Rock Lake by Cape Fair in Stone County is going to be closed in the evenings as part of a restoration project.
The project, which will begin after the Labor Day holiday weekend, is expected to last for the rest of 2020. The bridge will be open with one lane traffic during the daylight hours with traffic regulated through a set of temporary traffic signals. The bridge will be completely closed to traffic between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.
Detours will be marked during the closures, using Missouri Routes 172, 248, and 413, which will total about 21 miles.
The crews will be prepping concrete decks for removal during the day and then removing them and replacing them at night.
MoDOT said they are doing the work in the fall and winter to try and avoid the bulk of the area’s tourist season.
