The Ozark Board of Aldermen have one bill on their agenda for Monday’s meeting: an ordinance to require face coverings within the city.
The meeting, which is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. inside the Ozark Community Center, will be allowing public comments. Residents of the city of Ozark who wish to speak will need to sign up at the meeting by filling out a card and submitting it to city staff before 6:30 p.m..
Residents who sign up will have a maximum of 5 minutes to speak to the Board of Aldermen and Mayor Rick Gardner.
Everyone who attends the meeting will be required to wear a mask or face covering while inside the Community Center. Anyone who wishes to enter the building will also have their temperature checked at the door.
Mayor Rick Gardner has the authority to institute a mask ordinance after public comment without a vote of the aldermen.
