The Springfield-Greene County Health Department announced Saturday a series of high risk community exposures for COVID-19.
The infected individual worked out while not wearing a mask at the Dan Kinney Family Center at 2701 S. Blackman Rd.. SGCHD officials believe he may have exposed up to 300 people to COVID-19.
Here are the days and times the infected individual was at the Center:
Friday, July 24: Worked out from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. (infectious but not symptomatic)
Saturday, July 25: Worked out from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. (infectious but not symptomatic)
Sunday, July 26: Worked out from 10:40 a.m. to 12:40 pm. (infectious and symptomatic)
Monday, July 27: Worked out from 7:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. (infectious and symptomatic)
Tuesday, August 4: Worked out from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. (infectious but not symptomatic)
Anyone in the Center at those times is considered at enhanced risk for COVID-19. There is no need to self quarantine at this time, but they should monitor for symptoms. If they show symptoms, self quarantine, and contact your primary care physician.
“We all play a critical role in slowing the spread of COVID-19,” SGCHD officials said in a statement. “Wear a face mask when in a public setting, practice physical distancing of at least six feet, practice proper hand hygiene and avoid large crowds as much as possible. If someone is sick or thinks they may be sick, they need to stay home.”
