The Springfield-Greene County Health Department announced Thursday morning the community’s 12th confirmed, and 13th overall death from COVID-19.
The victim was a woman in her 80s who immunocompromised.
The SGCHD has been counting one death as a “probable” death from COVID-19, meaning the death occurred before testing could take place.
As of 8:30 a.m. Thursday, the County topped 1,400 cases with a laboratory confirmed 1,408 cases. There are 572 active cases, with 852 released from isolation, with 72 requiring hospitalization.
Active cases are up 11% in the last week, while reported cases are down 10 percent. Just under 70% of cases have been tracked to a single source by SGCHD officials; 15.5% are considered “community spread” meaning no source could be identified; 14.8% are patients with 2 or more high risk exposures.
