Springfield’s Earth Day celebration, originally postponed because of the COVID-19 outbreak, has now officially been moved to next year.
Organizer Molly Healey announced on social media Monday that the festival would be moved to April 24, 2021, with the caveat that should the COVID-19 pandemic continue into 2021 another delay could take place.
Healey said all the 2020 sponsors are going to continue with the 2021 event, including Mother’s Brewing Company as the host of the event.
The only major change announced Monday is that because of the rescheduled date, the Ozark Mountain Daredevils will no longer be able to headline the event.
Tickets for the 2020 event will be honored for the 2021 event, although organizers say if ticket holders wish to have their ticket cost used a donation to the environmental charities that would have benefitted from the festival.
If ticket holders want a refund, details on obtaining a refund will be announced in the near future.
