Taney County Health Department Announces Updated COVID-19 Totals & Exposures

Taney County Health Department officials reported Wednesday a total of 272 cases of COVID-19 within the county with an additional 71 cases under investigation.

TCHD staff said there have now been 4 deaths with 101 recoveries.

The department also announced the following public exposures from recently diagnosed residents and visitors:

Thursday, July 16th

  • 8:00 pm Dutton Show

Saturday, July 18th

  • 7:30 pm Haygood’s Show

Sunday, July 19th

  • 9:30 am First Baptist Church
  • Friendship Freewill Baptist evening service
  • Scooters Gas Station morning

Tuesday, July 21st

  • 10:30 am Casey’s in Forsyth

Wednesday, July 22nd

  • Big Cedar Dock
  • 6:00-7:00 pm Walmart Branson Parkway

Thursday, July 23rd

  • 7:00 pm Olive Garden

If you were in any of these locations during the announced times, you are at low risk of contracting COVID-19. You do not need to self-quarantine, but you should watch for symptoms and if you show them, then quarantine and contact your primary care physician.

TCHD officials are asking everyone to wear a face mask, follow social distancing, and stay home if you are sick.
