If you’re looking for a job, Ozarks Technical Community College’s Career Services is hosting an outdoor job fair on August 5 from 9 a.m. to noon in Parking Lot K of the Springfield campus.
The job fair is free and open to the public. Physical distancing and the wearing of masks will be required for all participants in the event.
In addition to the job fair, OTC’s Career Services is hosting an outdoor resume review event on July 29 from 9 a.m. to noon. The resume review event will take place in the driveway in front of the OTC Bookstore on the Springfield campus. Staff will provide job seekers with constructive feedback on resumes and cover letters.
The events are scheduled replacements for April events that were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“With unemployment rates at an all-time high, job seekers need events like our annual job fair more than ever before,” Lacey Busick, OTC career advisor, said in a statement. “By hosting these events outside with the space to physically distance, we can offer that same help, but in a safe and responsible way.”
Employers scheduled to take part in the event include Arc of the Ozarks, Bass Pro Shops, CoxHealth, and O’Reilly Auto Parts.
Job seekers should dress for an interview and bring several copies of their resume.
