The Show Me Collegiate League has been canceled for the rest of the season after another player has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.
U.S. Baseball released a statement Wednesday stating they would be ending the season with intent of returning for the 2021 season.
“This decision was not made lightly,” U.S. Baseball leadership posted in a statement. “This decision was made with guidance from both the Greene County and Christian County Health Department, with the safety of our players and families at the forefront.”
Another factor in the decision was that if any players will have to quarantine because of close contact with a COVID-19 positive individual, they will have enough time to quarantine before they return to their schools for the fall.
