Drury University announced they will be offering a new program that would provide a graduate certificate in data leadership beginning in August.
Students will be taught skills to organize, analyze, and use data for businesses to create “evidence-based solutions” to corporate problems.
“Many people understand that data should be driving decisions in their organization, but they are not sure where to begin in creating a data-driven culture,” Dr. Kelley Still-Nichols, program instructor and content specialist, said in a statement. “This program will give them clarity and confidence to take a leadership role in this area.”
The 12-credit hour program can be completed standalone or as part of the new Master In Integrative Leadership degree. That program allows students to combine two certificates of their choice in to customizable master’s degree.
The four courses are: Statistical Data Analysis and Visualization, Advanced Data Analysis, Data Driven Project Management and Leading with Data.
“The program is ideal for those who are sitting on a trove of data in Excel or other software but need help interpreting the story behind the numbers, regardless of their field or skill level,” Still-Nichols said. “Leaders need to know, not guess, what the data is telling them.”
Enrollment deadline is August 10. Visit Drury’s website for more information.
