The Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau has a new marketing director, while Springfield Little Theatre is singing a sad tune.
Megan Buchbinder, who has been key in the promotion of Little Theatre’s award winning productions throughout the region, moves to the CVB on July 22.
“I’m honored and thrilled to have Megan serving as my replacement,” Sean Dixon, CVB’s outgoing marketing director, said in a press statement. “Her years of marketing experience along with her passion for the local community will be a great asset to the Convention & Visitors Bureau.”
Dixon is leaving to serve as president of Visit Topeka.
“I am honored and excited to join the Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau team,” Buchbinder said in a statement. “I love our Springfield community and I love that my job will be to tell everyone else about all of the great things happening here! I enjoy being an active member in our community and look forward to representing Springfield in this position.”
Buchbinder noted her love of Springfield, specifically the city’s parks & trails, and the abundance of nearby lakes. She loves that the climate allows the avid runner to run outside year-round.
