If you’ve had a stack of books piling up since the COVID-19 lockdown, you’re going to have a chance to let them make a difference by donating them to the Friends of the Library.
The Friends of the Library will be taking donations for a book sale starting Monday, July 6, at the Library Center. Donations during the “donation blitz” can include books, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks and other materials.
Donations will be taken from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Saturday, July 18th. There is a designated bin on the south edge of the parking lot of the Library Center, 4653 South Campbell. Volunteers with the Friends of the Library will take the donations and provide receipts.
After-hours donations can be made through a designated book return, with pallets available for large loads.
Locations other than the Library Center will not be able to accept any donations. The donations received at the Library Center will be taken to a designated quarantine area for preparation before the book sale.
Donations at all branches stopped in March because of the coronavirus outbreak.
The Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale is scheduled for September 16th to the 20th at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds E*Plex.
