The Christian County Health Department has announced two new cases of COVID-19 and both are community spread.
CCHD officials say both cases have been notified and instructed to isolate at home until they meet CDC criteria for release. Close contacts of the cases have also been notified and been instructed to quarantine.
The Department released information about a public exposure related to one of the cases:
Friday, June 19 and Tuesday, June 23rd: Price Cutter in Nixa at 10:30 a.m. for approximately 15 minutes.
The individual was infectious and symptomatic. They were wearing a mask.
Anyone who visited the Price Cutter around that time is considered to be at low risk for the virus that causes COVID-19, but you should monitor for symptoms of the disease. If you show COVID-19 symptoms, self-quarantine and contact your primary care provider.
Christian County has a cumulative total of 44 cases, 11 active.
