Absentee Voting for August Election Begins

Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller announced that absentee voting for the August 4, 2020 election is now open.

Any registered voter that desires to vote via absentee ballot in this election can do so for only one party: Democratic, Republican, Libertarian, Constitution, or Green Party. The votes are cast to select the candidates for statewide races in November.

There is also an issues-only ballot for one statewide and one local issue.

Voters may cast their ballot in the clerk’s office at the Greene County Archives/Election Center, 1126 North Boonville, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Deadline for voting is the day before the election, August 3, 2020.

Mail in ballots can be requested by mail or in person using an application found on the website of the County Clerk. These applications must be signed by the voters and returned to the Clerk’s office before 5 p.m. on July 22, 2020. Mailed in ballots must be voted, notarized, returned by mail and into the clerk’s office before 7 p.m. on Election Day.
