The Taney County Health Department announced late Friday evening they are investigating a possible COVID-19 outbreak at a Mexican restaurant in Branson.
TCHD officials say that Tequila’s 2 voluntarily closed their business after being alerted to the suspected outbreak. They are currently working with the health department to identify any exposed individuals and possible exposures to the public.
Tequila’s 2 employees who suspect they have been in close contact with a COVID-19 patient are quarantining at home. They will not be leaving their homes except for medical care.
The investigation is still taking place; TCHD officials say they will release more information as soon as it’s available.
TCHD officials are telling the public that if you are showing signs of COVID-19, self-isolate, contact your primary care provider, and seek testing.
