The purple colored trip through time to the 1980s is going to take place in a different manner than planned as Harmony House announced they are going to hold their annual Purple Party fundraiser online.
The event is one of the key fundraisers each year for the charity that helps victims of abuse escape and get the help they need to rebuild their lives. Harmony House is the only domestic violence shelter in Greene County and Springfield, and the largest shelter in Missouri.
The new version of the Purple Party will have a live-streamed virtual event on August 11 augmented by a “Purple House Party Pack.” The Pack, designed for a party of 15 people in a home, will include:
- 2 bottles of wine
- Purple party decorations
- 15 fanny packs with goodies
- Special link to view the live-stream
- Access to the online auction
The live-stream will feature the 80s music cover band Members Only, and photos from those partying at home who post them on social media with the hashtags #PurplePartySGF or #PurpleHouseParty. The theme is 80s movies, so people will be encouraged to dress as their favorite 80s movie character.
The event will also feature a silent auction. Harmony House will be introducing the items in the auction weekly starting June 22nd.
