Springfield Greene County Health Department Announces Three Public Exposures

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department Saturday announced new public exposures to the virus that causes COVID-19 by three infected individuals.

The exposures took place before the individuals knew they were diagnosed with COVID-19.

Here are the exposure locations and times:

  • Thursday, June 4: Kearney St Café at 1324 W. Kearney around lunchtime for about 20 minutes (two infectious, one symptomatic, one not, neither masked)
  • Friday, June 5: Cedars West at 513 N West Bypass around 11:30 p.m. for about an hour and a half (infectious but not symptomatic, not masked)
  • Saturday, June 6: Cedars West at 513 N West Bypass around 4 p.m. for about 20 minutes (two infectious, one symptomatic, one not, neither masked)

The SGCHD says anyone at these locations is at low risk for contracting the virus that causes COVID-19 but that you should monitor for signs of the disease There is no need to self quarantine or for isolation if you do not develop any symptoms.

SGCHD officials said the current exposures are a reminder that if you are showing symptoms of illness, do not visit public places, and contact your primary health care provider.
