Springfield Sales Tax Revenue Down

The city of Springfield’s tax revenue for the year is down compared to the budget for the year.

The city reported late Thursday that June sales tax revenues for the city were $4,233,722, down .45% from budget or $212,297.

However, compared to actual revenue from last year, the city is still up .88 percent.

The check for the month represents sales processed by the state in May for transactions that were made primarily in April.
