A an who killed two men in March 2018 will be spending the rest of his life behind bars.
Willie Houghton, 27, was found guilty in December 2019 following a jury trial.
Court documents say Haughton was on bond for an unrelated felony domestic assault involving allegations of choking when he committed the two murders. He was wearing a GPS monitor at the time, and GPS plotting evidence was used in the trial.
Haughton’s DNA was found on the grip of the firearm used for the first murder. According to court testimony, Haughton took a semi-automatic from victim Lance Loveless to kill second victim Robert Hewitt.
Judge David Jones sentenced Haughton to two consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.
