Greene County Road to Recovery Order Expires; Vote on New Measure Monday

The Greene County Commission’s order on reopening the county from the COVID-19 lockdown expired on Friday without the Commission taking steps to renew it.

This means that at least until Monday, Greene County will be under the Governor’s Show Me Strong Recovery plan that Governor Parson extended Thursday until mid-June.

The Greene County measure had been stricter than the state order.

Commissioners are scheduled to hold a special meeting Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. to discuss the Road to Recovery Phase II plan along with a possible vote to reopen the historic courthouse.
