Christian County Reports Three New COVID-19 Cases and Public Exposures

The Christian County Health Department announced late Thursday night three new COVID-19 cases.

The three new cases bring the county’s total to 26, 23 confirmed and 3 probable cases. The health department said they are monitoring the three active cases.

The department also said that one of the new cases visited:

  • Kum & Go in Ozark, 305 W. South St., for a brief time at approximately 3:00 p.m. each day over a 5-day time frame from May 23rd through May 27th.
  • Dollar General, 150 Vanilla Bean Rd., Sparta, May 23rd 1-1:30 p.m.
  • Dollar General, 1501 E. State Hwy. 14, Ozark, May 23rd 1-1:30 p.m.

The department said that anyone who was in those locations is at low risk for COVID-19, but should watch for the following symptoms: fever 100.4 or greater, sore throat, headache, cough, muscle pain, chills, loss of taste or smell, and/or shortness of breath.

CCHD officials urge people to stay home if you feel sick and contact your primary care physician. Social distancing of six feet is encouraged and wearing a face mask or covering while out in the community is also encouraged.
