Great Clips locations in Springfield are temporarily closing because people are making threats against them after two hairstylists tested positive for COVID-19.
The two cases, one confirmed on May 22nd and one on May 23rd, resulted in potential exposures to 140 clients, 84 for the first stylist and 56 for the second.
Great Clips, Inc., released a statement to OI regarding threats made to the stores that’s resulting in their temporary closures:
Today, Great Clips salons in Springfield, MO received repeated threats. To protect the safety of everyone, the local franchisees made the decision to temporarily close salons in the Springfield area. They are working closely with law enforcement officials as the officials conduct a thorough investigation of these threats.
All three Springfield locations are closing.
