The Springfield-Greene County Health Department has announced a new potential public exposure from a patient infected with the virus that causes COVID-19.
The patient went to a local Walmart prior to being diagnosed with COVID-19. They visited the Walmart Supercenter at 3520 West Sunshine on Monday, May 18, from 5 to 6 p.m..
SGCHD officials say the individual was not showing symptoms at the time of potential exposure and was not wearing a mask. They do believe the patient was in the time period where they could be infectious.
If you were in the Walmart at the time the person visited, you are considered to be at low risk. SGCHD officials ask you to monitor for symptoms, do not go out if you begin to feel sick, and contact your primary care provider if you show symptoms of COVID-19.
