The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services is bringing part of their latest statewide sampling on COVID-19 to Springfield.
The state will be conducting the tests at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds on Thursday, June 4th, and Friday, June 5th, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m..
The only requirement to be tested is that you are a Missouri resident. You do not have to be a resident of the county where the tests are being given and you do not have to be showing symptoms of COVID-19 to be tested.
The test will be done via nasal swab to look for active infection by the virus that causes COVID-19.
Anyone interested in taking the test should register online with DHSS or call 877-435-8411.
The tests are being funded by the CARES Act. The tests are conducted by DHSS officials and the Missouri National Guard in connection with local health department officials.
