Branson Diner Building New Drive-In Theatre

Anyone who wants to return to the “good old days” of the 1950s drive-in will soon be able to visit Branson to enjoy a shake in the car while watching classics like “Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman.”

Cakes-n-Creams 50’s Diner announced the construction of the “American 76 Drive In.” The diner is building a screen in the parking area behind the building where customers can park, have their order taken by a car hop, and watch classic films.

Diner owners say the parking lot will be able to accommodate around 50 cars and there will also be picnic tables available for people to use.

The projected launch date has not been finalized, but diner owners say that the screen should be installed during the next week if the weather cooperates with construction, and then they will put the finishing touches on the project.

They estimate they could be open as early as late June or early July, but they plan to have a celebratory grand opening weekend for the Drive-In.
