The Drury Lady Panthers are sad to announce that they have canceled their June basketball camps to follow campus and county guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Lady Panthers and new head coach Amy Eagan had previously scheduled several events during the month including the Future Stars camp June 1-3 and June 28-30, the Pee Wee camp June 4-5, a team camp June 15-16, a high school defensive camp on June 17, a shooting camp on June 21, and an Elite camp on June 21 and June 22.
On May 8, Drury University announced that all external events, camps, and conferences that were to be held on the school’s campus are canceled through June 30.
“I am sad that we have to announce this, but safety is important,” said coach Eagan. “Hopefully, we will be able to host something in July or August so I can see the smiling faces of kids from all age groups that love basketball and the Lady Panthers.”
Drury finished the season undefeated at 32-0, won their fourth straight Great Lakes Valley Conference championship and ended the year as the number one ranked team in NCAA-II.
