The city of Springfield’s Citizens Advisory Committee for Community Development (CACCD) will be holding a virtual public hearing on Tuesday to discuss over $900,000 in additional Community Development Block Grant funds received through the CARES Act.
The public hearing comes after a public survey conducted from May 1-7 to determine the community’s feelings about where the additional funds should be spent.
Any citizen that wants to speak at the Tuesday meeting will be required to contact the city before noon on Monday at 417-864-1308 or by emailing.
Those who sign up to speak will be able to do electronically through an office at City Hall. However, no one who has experienced the following will be allowed inside:
• Flu-like symptoms
• Respiratory illness (cough, difficulty breathing)
• Traveled in the past 14 days to an affected area
• Been exposed to someone who has travelled to an affected area
• Been exposed to someone who has been evaluated for the illness or confirmed illness.
