The city of Springfield will be hosting a virtual public information session regarding stormwater improvements ot Fassnight Creek.
The project is part of the Springfield Art Museum’s master plan. The construction of stormwater improvements as part of that plan are supposed to begin this summer along Brookside Drive between National and Kings.
The plan is to restore the creek to a more “naturalized channel” in an attempt to reduce the flooding risk to the museum and surrounding residential properties.
The virtual session will take place on Tuesday, May 19, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the city’s project page.
Anyone with questions should contact the city via email.
