The Springfield-Greene County Library District announced Tuesday that almost all of the branches in their system will reopen on Tuesday, May 26.
The exceptions to that order are the Park Central and Fair Grove branches, which will be offering curbside service to library card holders.
Hours for the branches will be 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday, through August 31. Drive up service windows will be open 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed Sundays, also through the end of August. Book return boxes will be open 24/7.
Staff will return to answer questions via phone starting Monday, and the infoline will be discontinued.
The Library Express West 24-hour kiosk at 3872 West Chestnut Expressway will reopen on Monday.
The library system reminds patrons that the drive up windows are for pickup of holds only, returned materials must be placed into the book drop, and no walk-up service will be conducted. No donations are being accepted.
Due dates on all currently checked out items has been extended to July.
