The city of Ozark announced they are closing the Riverside property while the New Riverside Inn Bridge is built.
The city released a statement saying the move was done to “maintain the highest level of safety for all individuals and on-site construction workers.”
The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2020, barring weather delays.
The project is a cost-share between the Ozark Special Road District, Christian County, and the City of Ozark.
“The new Riverside Inn Bridge will bring back an important river crossing for our community and benefit everyone from drivers to bicyclists, as well as reduce response time for our emergency responders,” the city stated.
