The Branson Board of Aldermen voted unanimously Monday to remove all the local restrictions that were put in place related to the COVID-19 outbreak.
After a three hour meeting, the Aldermen decided to follow the restrictions that were put into place by Governor Mike Parson for the entire state. The action by the Board immediately went into effect.
Branson businesses and residents were directed to the state’s website about the “Show Me Strong” order to reopen the state. The website lists the restrictions for businesses along with encouraging continued social distancing among all Missourians.
Local officials are encouraging theatre owners to reach out to the state regarding occupancy restrictions. Under the current state order, retail businesses with 10,000 square feet or less must operate with 25% occupancy or less, while those with more than 10,000 square feet are forced to operate with 10% occupancy or less.
The Taney County Health Department is urging community members to follow social distancing guidelines:
• Wear a mask when in public
• Wash hands for 20 seconds
• Stay 6’ away from others
• Stay home if you are sick
• Disinfect frequently touched surfaces
