Christian County Leaders Examine Reopening Plan

Christian County officials are meeting with Nixa and Ozark city officials to discuss a plan to bring the county out of the stay at home COVID-19 lockdown.

The leaders are holding some of their discussions with Greene County and Springfield officials in an attempt to find a solution that works throughout the region as well as Christian County.

“We are also taking Federal and State guidance into consideration as we craft a plan that makes the most sense locally,” officials said in a statement.

Current local orders for Nixa, Ozark, and Christian County will expire on April 24 at 11:59 p.m., but officials are working on modifications that will either extend the current order or begin a series of phases for a “return to normalcy.”
