Motorcyclists Tickets for Violating Stay at Home Order

Springfield Police officials have announced that the first tickets related to the stay at home order have been given to a group of motorcyclists.

Police arrived at a location on East Battlefield near a Kum & Go where a group of motorcycle riders had gathered. Police were responding to complaints that the cyclists had been driving in a reckless manner.

When police arrived at the scene, one motorcyclists fled from officers, who did not pursue.

Police say no businesses have been ticketed for refusal to follow the stay at home order.
