The Taney County Health Department announced Monday afternoon two more cases of COVID-19.
That brings the total number of cases in the county to eight. TCHD officials also confirmed community spread of the disease.
“Although one of these cases is related to domestic travel, we want our residents to know that we are seeing community spread of COVID-19, ”said Lisa Marshall, Director of the TCHD, “We want to remind residents to follow preventive guidelines, including staying at home as mandated by the governor.”
Officials also recommended that if you go out into public, wear a facemask.
Health officials in Taney County are also asking anyone who has a scheduled medical appointment to call their offices before reporting for the appointment. Anyone who has an appointment that registers a fever when screened will be required to reschedule their appointment.
